A few years ago, Ol' Backwoods used to lease part of my late grandmother's 135-acre place in southern West Virginia, for use as hunting land. I had cameras all over that place, and got some amazing pictures. Because I moved so far away, down to 'Bama, I don't get to hunt it anymore.
After my 0-kills-for-19-hunts deer season this year, and with turkey season coming up, I am sure missing my grandmother's place. I never, ever saw anything like this on the deer lease I huntedthe 2014-2015 season.
That's good eatin'.
Here's another, from the same time frame:
Nice sized doe, and a couple fawns that I bet are grown up now. They were browsing on the edge of a clearing, right in front of my camera, to which they were utterly oblivious.
