By and Large, Big-City Police Are Not Your Friends

"America is at that awkward stage. It's too late to work within the system, but too early to shoot the bastards." - Claire Wolfe.

The big-city police are NOT your friends, and will shoot you in the back for no reason at all.

Police have NO duty to protect you under the Constitution, and have broken their Constitutional Oath to protect your rights.  It is all about THEM and their imagined threats to "officer safety.".

They will KILL you, shoot you in the back even (4 times, at 4 seconds after initial contact).  It does not matter if you have done nothing to them.

If they believe you are holding ANYTHING in your hands that even resembles a "weapon" to them, even a smartphone or an umbrella.

Oh, and guess what?  The guy who was murdered, John T. Williams, couldn't hear the Seattle cop because he WAS DEAF.  The cop, Officer Ian Birk, testified that Williams had "advanced" on him, but that was shown by witnesses to be a bald-faced LIE.

But of course, the cop goes scot free.

This is yet another reason why Ol' Backwoods has left the job I was driving to in Big City, and taken a job in a small rural town in the South.  This is another reason why Ol' Backwoods will be living in a very rural place there, where I can get to know my local sheriff's deputies.  Maybe I can help convince them to keep their Oaths, and not shoot me in the back.

  1. I thought this was a new story, it is not, it's from August 2010. The shooting was determined to be unjustified, the shooter was stripped of gun and badge, and later resigned. The investigation went forward despite the resignation. See: http://seattletimes.com/html/localnews/2014247418_birk17m.html

  2. If it was a new story, how could I know the outcome? I did not say it was a new story. This is my blog, and if it catches my interest, I write about it.

And who cares if the moron lost his badge? If I murdered someone, and lost my badge at work (the one the gets me in the building), but was not even CHARGED with murder, how is THAT justice?
